Wii Wheel... Wii Wheel Rock You!

Postby pierski » Wed Apr 09, 2008 11:03 pm

So the Wii wheel, hmm... I'm not sure what it's going to be like to play Mario Kart Wii with it. Some reviewers are okay with it and some reviewers think it's "absolutely crap".

My opinion? I haven't gotten a chance to try it out yet. So I don't have an opinion yet. Well, I do but it's currently based on nothing concrete so I'm not interjecting it. Though the fact that some of the moves in Mario Kart Wii can only be pulled off with a Wii wheel is very disappointing to me. It's forcing the gamers hand. Super Smash Bros. Brawl wouldn't have been as much fun if you had to use the Wiimote/nunchuk instead of having the option to use a Gamecube controller instead.

Regardless, I guess I'll just have to wait a couple more weeks until it comes out to get the hands on experience. Here's hoping the two days between it and the release of GTA IV will be enough time to decide. Because after GTA IV comes out, my Wii will just be collecting dust for a while.

First!

Alright, this is another one of those comics that needs to be made into a poster. I laughed my freaking ass off.

Jejejeje good comic... BTW, Nintendo screwed up by doing that Wii-Wheel-semi-exclusive-thing for Mario Kart Wii... But i think it'll still be fun to play...

GTA IV FTW!!! Here's to Jack Thompson and the rest of the VG-hating jackoffs, they will enjoy the game too
Roberto Duran, Mariano Rivera, Ruben Blades, Justine Pasek, Rod Carew, Ramiro Mendoza, Los Rabanes, El General, The Canal, Flex, Match & Daddy, El Roockie, Eddy Lover, Irving Saladino, Laffit Pincay, Danilo P?©rez, Omar Alfano... to name a few...

Too bad I wont be playing GTA IV, no 360 nor a PS3. I only got a Wii. Someone tell me if it lives up to the hype.

My Wii has been collecting dust since this time last year, because broke both my wrists in a row and got a 360. Also, there really aren't any good games out for it... Smash Bros. isn't out yet

I dont have any of the 3 consoles, my luck (at least until august) is that my best friend has them all, and we have a system for buying the games...

I hope that Mario Kart Wii and GTA IV both live up to the hype and their predecessors because i've been waiting for both since the last ones...

I love the comic.... Old people not understanding technology is always funny and faking it for attention is just downright hilarious!

I'm so glad that MKWii is out tomorrow over here for two reasons:
1. My Wii has been collecting dust since I completed Mario Galaxy.
2. It's a good couple of weeks away from GTAIV so I can get some good play time on it.
If you're reading this then the below post must not be important.

I will be buying neither of those games. Mario Kart because, although fun, it's not worth spending that much on.

GTA IV because my mum would probably ban me from playing it.

Plus, I need to save all my money at the moment for a certain other game...

This is just silly. Nintendo have really made it bloody obvious with this one. It is a money-grabber if there ever was one. The balance board is probably going to be neglected by developers, even though it has SOME potential to be effective, but the WiiWheel is a STUPID idea. One the flip side, however, it could be a very clever one (maybe). allow me to elaborate: both the WiiWheel and Zapper are peripherals that will be exclusive to certain genres (try using the Zapper to play Wii Tennis!), no self respecting intellectual would buy them. But, if these peripherals prove successful, developers could jump on the bandwagon and stop producing the crappy "non-games" which, until my prediction proves true, are keeping Phoenix Wright: JFA firmly glued in my shiny DS Lite in order to stop Dr Kawashima from intruding in its... sensitive area.

Funny, I always thought it was better than Mario Kart, and Diddy Kong racing, and all the other clones.

CTR in my opinion is better than Mario Kart, but Mario Kart is more fun to play, especially Super Circuit and DS...

I like most racing games, the fun ones and the more serious ones, i'm waiting like crazy for Gran Turismo 5, but is probably due to 2009...

MKWii is out here today, indeed I saw it in the stores earlier.

But as far as I'm concerned, all those "kart" racing games can be Falcon Punched. By the protagonist of the best racing series ever. So there. :P
