This comic is an alternate version of another comic that I did 2007 (note the older art style and Phil Harrison is still with Sony). The original comic was created/intended for Hardcore Gamer Magazine, but they deemed it too mean. This was a much more gentler substitute that made print.

I guarantee that somebody is going to look at today's comic. Ignore this posting directly below it. And create some rant on some forum claimed that I'm an idiot because I don't know that Phil Harrison is no longer with Sony. Truth be told that I do know that Phil Harrison is no longer with Sony and that he is now the President of Infogrames Entertainment SA. Plus I know that there are many much better reasons out there that I am an idiot and that this was not one of them.

As you can guess by now, this comic is technically a filler... even though it is a complete comic. I guess that makes it fluffer. I could post the reasons why, but a lot of you prefer that I leave the vale up so you can still perceive me as some faceless ominous being that creates the comics, posts some words and fades into the shadows until next time. For everyone else, let me just say my reasons is just.

Ok, Steve, you're an idiot for not knowing that Phil isn't with Sony anymore... Sorry, i couldn't resist to do it after the posts i saw on Joystiq last week and your comments now

Nice comic though, this was a reality back then, it seems now that Sony is picking up, and personally i hope they beat the 360, the Wii is fine
Roberto Duran, Mariano Rivera, Ruben Blades, Justine Pasek, Rod Carew, Ramiro Mendoza, Los Rabanes, El General, The Canal, Flex, Match & Daddy, El Roockie, Eddy Lover, Irving Saladino, Laffit Pincay, Danilo P?©rez, Omar Alfano... to name a few...

It's crazy enough to work. I really did wonder why their sales were meant to be picking up (and why my PS2 isn't displaying okami on my tv). Nice work.

First: This gag has already been done by Scrooge Mc.Duck much time ago.
Second: The second graphic should be the first one turned of 90¬?, but it does look not even close to that.

I can't remember where I saw it, but apparently the PS3 is on equal footing with the 360 in Europe...

Yeah, it amazed me too.

This -- sorry! -- incredibly old & overused joke has always been one of my pet peeves. Turn the graph upside-down, and you have basically the same flow; you should only turn it a quarter-turn!

I know. I flipped the chart horizontally to make it work. It was at that point I knew. But time constraints and Tim (Lindquist) liked it. I still preferred the original more.

if you turn the graph upside down, sales look pretty much just as bad. If you turn the graph sideways, it's no longer a function of time. To use that graph for this gag, one would need a transparency on an easel or on an overhead projector.

Do you have any proof whatsoever that Sony has been faking their sales? Analysts predict the Ps3 to overtake and annihilate Microsoft in the next financial year, and the PSP continues to dominate in JAPAN for the last MONTH, I think you have no idea what your talking about, but what does it matter, your one of those Nintendo fanboys that still think the N64 was a good system, and nothing can change that.

What? That was an old comic from last summer when Sony's numbers did suck. Ask them yourself. They'll tell you.

Aaah, we haven't had an idiotic and overly defensive fanboy for a while now.

And the N64 kicked ass.

Also, the PS3 wont 'hammer Microsoft'. It'll do well, but the 360 already has a massive userbase, and the Wii is selling well. No-one's really gonna win or loose this generation.

maybe I was a little too fan-boyish, but the N64 died on impact.
