Today's comic is dedicated to my friend Robbie whom hates Bullet Witch. Oh, how he hates Bullet Witch. He hates it so very much.

A lot of us are guilty of playing crappy 360 games just for the achievements. I myself am even guilty of said crime. That's the only reason I ever played King Kong, Madden '06 and Open Season was for the easy achievement points... okay, Open Season wasn't actually that bad, but I still wouldn't have played it if it hadn't been for the achievements. Still, those three thousand tainted achievement points still haunt me to this very day. None the less, I heard that TMNT is quick and easy one thousand points. I should really rent that soon.

Once again, don't forget to pre-order your copy of the outer circle's first trade paperback... the outer circle: Digging Up the Past. Major thanks to everyone that pre-ordered, I greatly appreciate it and so does my wallet. A special pre-ordering thanks goes out to Pontus and Josh. Hell, when Josh was finished pre-ordering he went and donated an additional $23. Now that's just friggin' cool.

Thinking about it, if someone out there wants to donate $50 or more dollars, I'll not only send you a copy of the book with all the bells and whistles but I will also do a custom pencil drawing of the character of your choice for you. If you donate $100 or more I'll even digitally ink and color it and send you not only the original pencil, but a downloadalbe/printable PDF of the digital inking that you can use, print and do whatever you want with. Seriously, I really want to pay as little out of pocket with this book as I possibly can. So if you have a creative monotary solution, give me a holler. If you need more information about the pre-order, check out the previous comic. Thanks!

Just here to post first since it seems like a race around here to do so, even though there isn't a comic yet; I'll read it tomorrow morning at around 6:45!

Ok, let's face it, i only have my 360 since a few weeks and i'm already struggling with this problem. (Plus there is no rental video games system here so i can't afford to buy crappy games...)

Just a tip for ya. "Avatar: the burning earth" is one of those games. 5 achievements, 1000 points that you can unlock in 5 minutes. BUT it's a really crappy and useless game. But it's 1000 almost free points. Now you know...

Do so and lose my respect as a gamer.

You already played Open Season for the achievements, don't succumb to it any further!

But its so little time for so many points... I've got all 200 achievement points in Aegis Wing and Symphony of the Night. That should make up for a momentary loss of my senses.

I actually legitimately enjoyed Bullet Witch.

Thing is though, I don't give a crap about achievements (save for Mass Effect, where they actually *gasp* unlock things).

Really, people should just be playing the games they like. I know there's more than enough reason for someone not to like Bullet Witch... just as there's plenty of reason not to like Halo 3.

After check your info on Xbox.com all I can say is:

Damn you play a lot of XBLA games!

And I guess I'll let ouy off this time, just don't go making it a habbit. There's more important things in life then gamerpoints! Like playing good games...

An amusing way to spend 18 hours

Postby heavilymedicated » Fri Nov 30, 2007 10:46 am

To be fair, I'm pretty sure that it was more along the lines of 8 hours ago, rather than 18, that a friend of mine sent me a link to your webcomic.

After being tickled by the crack about Voldemort and moogles and the proceeding strips I decided to read the entirety of your archives from the first post to now.

And as I sat for several hours, in my PSP hoodie (please, don't cringe yet), I found myself smiling and laughing in spite of the "Sony Bashing" (I'm not actually one of those. I am of the opinion that you play different consoles for the different types of games you're interested in. I'm a FF whore, so I play PlayStation systems *shrugs* It's how it goes.) and the fact that you actually liked Final Fantasy X. Beyond that I actually delayed going to the bathroom for almost half an hour because I couldn't stop reading (not a wise decision, nor something, I'm sure, you ever wanted to know).

I must also say that the links in your news posts can be quite distracting X_x the great majority of the time I spent reading this comic wasn't actually reading it, but following your links because the news section was, by all means, just as funny as the comics.

All in all there is absolutely nothing critical or even constructive about this comment. It is simply 6:43 AM and I...Wanted to leave something here? I don't really have any reason.

Keep up the good work? *thumbs up*

This is pretty much flat-out unbelievable. How on earth did that make it past the QA department?

I think you get to choose what you want your achievements to be, just as long as they are 1000 for a retail game and 200 for an XBLA game. I think its just anything that deviates from that whom needs to get it approved.
