A few more games that I am glad were never made...

Games that I am glad were never made... What can I say about this besides that they are games that I'm glad were never made? It's a fun gimmick that I've abused a lot less than the Rejected Mega Man Villains.

First off,Tweed Suit Tingle is a parody of the Leisure Suit Larry series written by Al Lowe and published by Sierra. I originally wanted the subtext on this cover to said "In Hot Water, Again!", but if this was the first game in the series again wouldn't really work. My only explanation for this is putting Tingle in another game is always going to be a bad idea.

Next, You don't know Jack Thompson is a parody of You don't know Jack. Do you really want to play a game where you can learn more about Jack Thompson? Me neither.

(I just want to note that the game company "Seer", which is a parody of Sierra from the first two game parodies, is taken from Dominic Deegan's profession Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire. I'm currently reading Dominic Deegan Volume Two: ECSTASY and EVIL and I think it's just stuck in my brain. You should get a copy, it's a fun read.)

Lastly, E.T. Returns to Earth is a "sequel" to E.T. The Extra Terrestrial for the Atari 2600 and is the most evil game that was EVER made. Not because it was the worst Atari 2600 game ever, but because it caused the video game crash of 1983 (definitely worth the read). While clicking links, don't forget to check out an earlier Dueling Analogs comic where I took a shot at this game, too.

Quick links back to the previous Games that I am glad were never made.... Here's the first one, the second one, the third one, the fourth one and the fifth one... I didn't even realize that it had been over eight months since the last one of these until I was working on this one.

PRIMERO!!!

I laughed when i saw the ET game, and the artwork looks like the one you did in the 2nd panel of the ET strip...

Jack Thompson, still blaming VGs as the cause of the shootings, i wonder what VGs did to him...
Roberto Duran, Mariano Rivera, Ruben Blades, Justine Pasek, Rod Carew, Ramiro Mendoza, Los Rabanes, El General, The Canal, Flex, Match & Daddy, El Roockie, Eddy Lover, Irving Saladino, Laffit Pincay, Danilo P?©rez, Omar Alfano... to name a few...

I love the fact that you made the E.T. returns in this group of games, his design made me think of this one,so I suppose by placing this link I proved your point....Although I thought you liked that game...

Second.....dammit thought I was first
look at me and tell me everything was a lie.

Reaching way back for the Leasure Suit Larry refrence... Fucking love it.. I remember being SUPER young and desperatly trying to get past the age verification questions on Leasure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards, cause Dad seamed to have so much fun playing it.

Didn't those questions require a special pamphlet insert? Or was it flip to page whatever and it's the first word in paragraph whatever?

In most of the Sierra adventure games it was generally an insert or find a specific word on a specific page of the manuel, and I played them all, Kings Quest, Police Quest, Space Quest (and I still have a copy of Freddy Pharkus Frontier Phamacist somewhere). The reason for those was basically an early attempt at copy protection...

With LSL's first outing (and third), the goal wasn't copy protection so much as it was age verification, with a bunch of silly questions that Al Lowe figured only an adult would know.
